Standard engineering for our structures is designed to withstand 80 mph winds with the tensioned membranes attached and for 130 mph winds with the membranes removed. We can increase these wind loads as local requirements dictate.  

• Our fabric coverings are removable should you desire to detach them in the event of an approaching hurricane. This becomes more difficult to do on larger structures.
• In the worst case scenario, if a hurricane is so severe that the fabric detaches from the structure, it is nothing more than a lightweight fabric turned into windborne debris. This is much less of a concern when compared to more dangerous wooden, metal or solid structural items typically used for roofs or shelters.

• Recent court decisions in other states have ruled in favor of individuals that have developed skin cancer when they were not provided with adequate shade protection.
